Lexus’s new compact sport sedan has been unveiled ahead of the 2013 Detroit International Auto Show. A great looking car, but upon a close look, the new IS has similar structural features to that of the LF-LC concept car. The front bumper integrated LED lights and main headlight bezel, along with Lexus’ spindle hour-glass grille are key enhancements of the IS that made the LF-LC so “cool”. But it doesn’t stop there, the new IS implements LFA features as well. A great move by Lexus, because now drivers who can’t dish out $400,000 for a supercar can still get the moving instrument cluster & smoked 18 inch Y spoke wheels inspired by the LFA. Not much has been said about the new IS’ performance and pricing as it has yet to make its official debut, but driving dynamics has been greatly increased as reported by many of the few journalist who have had the opportunity to test drive the prototype.
